By dialing three numbers – 8-1-1 – you will have access to non-emergency health information and services. Hearing-impaired individuals can access this service by calling 7-1-1 (TTY).
With the 811 service, Registered Nurses (RN’s) will give you the advice and information you need, help Islanders navigate the health system and seek the appropriate type of care. The advice could include a recommendation to see your doctor, visit your local emergency department or other self care options. RN’s in the 811 system can also provide information and guidance about health concerns and services that are available on Prince Edward Island.
If you or your family requires interpretation services, 811 can provide services in French and more than 120 other languages. Interpretation services are offered through a third party and include, but are not limited to, Arabic, Farsi, and Cantonese.
