Shanty Stay accommodations offers 10 small, rustic yet cozy cabins. We are located in Eastern Prince Edward Island in the heart of the beautiful seaside Town of Souris. Our shanty shacks were built by hand from the ground up using Island white cedar. Our vision was to create a unique and affordable accommodation concept.

Whether you need a place to stay for one night while waiting to catch the ferry (Iles de la Madeleine) or are looking for a longer term vacation rental while discovering our region, Shanty Stay is an ideal choice. Shanty Stay Accommodations and cottages is centrally located within walking distance to Souris Beach, Confederation Trail, Souris Harbour, CTMA Ferry terminal, shops and dining establishments. We are just a short drive to our famous local beaches (Basin Head), golf courses and other adventures.

Kim was very kind and welcoming. The accommodations themselves were perfect, all we needed! Shower was hot and the bed was comfortable.

Great accommodation in the center of Souris. Great for solo travellers or couples looking for a cozy and comfortable budget stay. This place is authentic and you can see and feel the love that was put in building that place. Would definitely sleep there again!

5 stars all the way! everything you need for the perfect night sleep. I was amazed when I entered our cabin and saw how sustainable and eco friendly our cabin was. The cabin was very comfortable and we loved the bed, the location is central and the staff is extremely accommodating. This location is perfect for couples or families.
